It was one beautiful night my mum,dad,cousin,sister and I were getting ready for fireworks to go to One Tree Hill. When we got all the fireworks ready and      we went to One Tree Hill and we were playing on the park.

When we burst our first fireworks it was loud. My dad gave  my sister and me two Guy Fawkes sticks to fire when my sister used up one of her fireworks nothing went wrong. Then she fired her other Guy Fawkes and she lost control of the stick and it hit the tree and the tree was on fire. Then my dad looked in his pocket and it wasn't in his pocket it was in his car.

Then he went in to the car and grabbed the phone and dialled 111. They  came in 30 minutes and  put the fire on the tree out.  My family went home. Then we went home mum said. We will never go to One Tree Hill for Guy Fawkes.

Fire At Anna's House

One afternoon there was a fire at Anna's house. Anna was scared and she screamed because she couldn't get out of the house. So she calls 111 and they  were coming to save the day. The fire was getting bigger by the minute.

Then when the firemen came They got the hose then all the fire was out. Then 3 firemen when in to got Anna and when they tried to get out but they couldn’t get out to so they called out for back up. 5 minute and almost all the fire was out so when the backup used there hose and put the fire out. They kick the door down and went in the house. They were looking for here and find her in the basement.

They got Anna and the 3 firemen. 2 of the firemens were dead and 1 Was alive and that was the worst day of her life.

On 28 August there was a Sumatran tiger

that was 21 years old. That tiger had died with cancer and the tigers name was Cantik. These tigers are only find in the wild.

The Sumatran tiger came from Australasia.

These Sumatran tiger endangered because there only 300 to 400 more Sumatran tiger

left.  Sumatran tiger they sort powerful legs. huge paws and a large jaw. The Sumatran tiger came from Australasia.

Darren always played on his drum at dark when he goes to his aunt. But his secret was he is scared of the dark. When mum had to go doctors for her baby in her belly, so he had to go to his aunts house. Then at aunt's house his car seat always makes me scared in the dark. He always calls pop after bedtime. I'm learning to convert fractions to decimals. My fraction is 51/100 the answer is 0.51 because if it is 5/10  it will be 0.5. So if it is 5/100 it will be 0.05. This is simple as because we have doing this for a long time. I think the teacher can make this harder by making the numbers on top bigger. Next week, I think I will have to listen  to the teacher when we are doing maths on the floor.

Edmund Hillary made history by being the first one to climb Mount Everest and he never gave up. I am inspired by him because he used the most perseverance. He made history for him and his country.  Everyone understand him because he has a good sense of humor.

Edmund Hillary was a soldier in world war 2 and he fight for him and his country.Edmund Hillary was and stills is on the five dollar note. He was a honest man everyone has ever had.

To play this games you have to know proper fractions. the answer I have is ⅚. I know when it is ⅚ because there are 5 squares and 1 circle. It teaches me, my fractions, timetables and your division.

Myrtle the turtle

At school there was a little turtle and the turtles name was Myrtle. Everyone in Emma’s class liked Myrtle. Every day the children’s in Emma's class  took Myrtle for a walk around the park.

When the children went home they put the turtle in the aquarium. When the children put the turtle in the aquarium the turtle was cold so she went to the heater but it was broken and the turtle was so so cold.

When the children came back to the aquarium the children went to see Myrtle. She did not move the childrens knew that there was something wrong with Myrtle but then the turtles eyes was open and  they knew she had died.

Then they digged a hole and put the turtle in it. Emma will sit with Myrtle for an hour a day. Then Emma sore something coming out of the grass. It was Myrtle Everyone was happy. Then the children took Myrtle to the vet and they had to cut the turtles right leg of. But everyone was still happy.

Ancient Egypt

The king  made pyramids because the first king had an idea to make the biggest thing in the world.Then they made a name for it and the name was  pyramid

When Tut’s father died  Tut became the king of  Ancient Egypt. Tut  was 8 to 9 years old when Tut got to be king of Ancient Egypt. Tut died when he was 18 years old so he so ruled  for  9 to 10 years. His dad’s name was Akhenaten and his mom's name was Nefertiti. Ancient Egypt was ruled from 1333 BC -1324 BC by him.

People thought Tut was killed because he had a crack on his head. People thought he was murdered. We don't know how  Tut died. Tut married his stepsister. When Tut died the people found a gold mask and it looked like Tut.

Tuts coffin was made out of gold and it was painted.                                          

Technology Mr Nobel

Today I was with Mr Nobel in graphics. We were learning how to use a pencil to draw. It is very important to sit up and don't lean in. You need to hold your pencil with two fingers to draw a nice, straight line. So you don’t need to use a ruler. We practiced by drawing letters

Rugby

When I went to my first rugby practice I was nervous because I had  not played in a rugby club. In my very first rugby game against Papatoetoe. I got tackled. It was painful and sore. But now  i'm not nervous and i'm not  scared of tackled and i'm not scared of the ball.  Now I don't feel scared any more.

My Reflection for term 1

In maths I had a 2P. I just need to do more work and listen to the teacher. In reading I got a 2P again.I went down from a 3B to a 2P. I need  to  listen and do my work to get  where I have to be. I need to learn my spelling list too.

I need to learn to name shapes and learn 2D and 3D objects using the language of geometry.

Stunt Wheel

Walt: make a stunt wheel.

Miss said we had to study toys this term and miss said we had to make a stunt wheel. We had from Monday till Friday.We rolled the stunt wheel outside and took a photo while it was rolling. My stunt wheel  went 11 meters. It was fun.

My learning

I've learnt how to read decimal numbers from diagrams. Langa helped me to work this out.  I have to practise reading decimal numbers.
